About us
The nursery opened in 2003 and enjoys a reputation for offering high quality, affordable childcare in the centre of Halifax. The nursery has excellent purpose-built indoor and outdoor facilities, enabling children to explore and learn through play. The nursery is built at ground level, giving easy access for all. We aim to help children flourish and grow to their maximum potential by providing a happy, stable and structured atmosphere in the nursery. We recognise that each child is an individual and encourage individuality by allowing children to learn and develop through different aspects of play.

Our nursery has been rated "Strong" in all 6 areas of the new EYFS Ofsted Reporting Framework (our latest inspection was November 2025). We believe this reflects the hard work we put in to providing exceptionally high quality childcare in the town centre of Halifax. It is important that parents have as much information as possible when choosing a childcare provider. Ofsted’s inspection reports give an impartial view of childcare providers and give information on how well settings are meeting their obligations in terms of delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Ofsted assesses childcare providers on how well they support children’s development according to their individual needs. The assessment is not just about education but also that children’s social and emotional needs are being met. Childcare providers are inspected every three to four years and the "report card" system has been introduced; we were graded Strong in all areas at our recent inspection (November 2025) maintaining our high standards from our Outstanding rating in our previous 3 inspections.
