Meals

Our cook prepares fresh meals daily. We aim to ensure that children receive their recommended 5 portions of fruit and vegetables.  There is a great emphasis on children enjoying a healthy, balanced and varied diet.  We can cater for a variety of dietary requirements

and allergies.

We have been awarded a Cute Fruit Award, which recognises that we provide children with healthy, nutritious meals and snacks. We have also been awarded a 5-star Environmental Health Hygiene Star Rating.

There are 14 allergens currently listed under food law that we must declare. However, most of the food that we provide at nursery is freshly prepared on a daily basis from a variety of basic ingredients; some of these ingredients may contain some of the listed allergens, including gluten, wheat oats (G), eggs (E), fish (F), peanuts & nuts (Nu), soy beans(So), milk (M), celery (Ce), mustard (Mu) and Sulphites (Su). Additionally, pre-prepared products that we provide at nursery e.g. gravy, sauce, breakfast cereals etc may contain traces of these allergens. In all cases we strive to source products which meet Government targets for acceptable salt and sugar levels and our menus are designed following the Early Years Foundation Stage Nutrition Guidance (May 2025).
